Let me tell you a story of how I learned about the most important part on my sewing machine. I had just finished teaching a beginning sewing class to a group of eight year olds. The words were still ringing in my own ears.
âNever, never put your left hand behind the needle. Never, never pull your fabric through. Just let the machine move the fabric.â
It was only an hour or so later, and I was in a big hurry to finish a job for a customer. I quickly sat down and started to sew at top speed. Someone called from the other room, and I looked up. It was only a second, but it was long enough.
